Top Tip: DIY Link Audit Tools

Agencies can charge £3000 for a link audit! However, these are the tools you need to do your own:

  • Neil Patel's free tool, SEO analyzer

  • Google Search Console

  • Set up a free SEMrush account and use their Backlinks audit tool

When we do a link audit we want to see how many other websites have a link to our content. We also want to see the same with our competitors.

Why do we care about who is 'back linking' to pages on our website?

There is something called 'Follow Links' which tells Google that you are an authority and people are endorsing you - your content must be good and useful to people. Therefore, google will recognise this and make it easier for people to find your content.

Follow Links are good and we want more of them! We have to reach out to people and work hard to get back links, but the hard work is worth it.
